BPSC Recruitment 2025: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors of various subjects in Government Ayurvedic Colleges located at Patna and Begusarai under the Health Department, Government of Bihar. Interested candidates can apply online from 15 July to 8 August 2025 atbpsc.bihar.gov.in.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 88 Assistant Professor posts.

Educational Qualification Mandatory
The candidate should have a BAMS degree from a recognized university, which is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine or the National Commission for Indian Medicine. Apart from this, a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject is also mandatory. Also, the candidate must have completed internship training.

Registration and other conditions
The name of the candidate should be updated and registered with the Bihar State Ayurvedic and Unani Medical Council, Patna. If there is no registration, it will be mandatory to register after selection. Also, it is necessary to obtain a teacher code as per the guidelines of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Keep in mind that degrees obtained from foreign universities will not be considered valid for this post.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate should be at least 27 years as on August 1, 2025. The maximum age limit is 45 years for the general category, 48 years for backward/most backward classes, 48 years for women (all categories), and 50 years for Scheduled Caste/Tribe. At the same time, the maximum age limit for doctors who are already working in the Bihar State Ayush Medical Service has been fixed at 50 years.

How much will the application fee be?

No application fee will be charged from SC/ST/women candidates for this recruitment. PWD (Divyang) candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 25. At the same time, the application fee for candidates of all other categories has been fixed at Rs 100.
