When it’s India vs Pakistan, it is always a tense affair. Just over a month after the sides faced off in the Asia Cup 2025, they met again for the Mother of All Battles in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament. This time rain had a role to play as Dinesh Karthik’s side defeated Abbas Afridi’s team by two runs as per DLS.
Rain Got in Pakistan’s Way vs IndiaPakistan were chasing a target of 87 from six overs and were 41/1 when rain stopped play after three overs. Play never resumed and India won by virtue of having a better par score. But the margin was only two runs. Stuart Binny was the pick of the bowlers 1/7.

Earlier, India posted 86/4 in six overs. Robin Uthappa led the way with 28. For Pakistan, the second over of the game did not produce enough runs and that came back to bite them while determining the final result. It was a good start for the Indian team in their group. Pakistan have to bounce back quickly from their defeat.
