England opener Ben Duckett brutally mocked Indian captain Shubman Gill before the latter's dismissal on day four of the third Test against England at the Lord's Cricket Ground. With Gill coming into the Lord's Test with 585 runs under his belt, Duckett was heard on stump mic, saying, '600 runs and he is done for the series'.
Gill, 25, began the series with a knock of 147, joining an elite group of players to hit a century on captaincy debut. However, the high point came at Edgbaston when the youngster made 269 and 161, aggregating 430 runs to win the Player of the Match as India registered a 336-run victory. Nevertheless, Gill made only 16 in the first innings at Lord's and was dismissed by Brydon Carse for 6 in the second, leaving India in a spot of bother.
