Bettiah: A shocking incident has come to light from Bihar’s West Champaran district, where a one-year-old baby boy bit a cobra on Friday, resulting in the snake's death while the child survived.
One-year-old Govinda was playing at home in the afternoon in Mohchhi Bankatwa village, located in the Majhauliya block of the district. During this time, Govinda spotted the snake, he first hit the reptile with an objecte then picked it up and bit the cobra with his teeth. Notably, the snake died immediately.
Shortly after, the toddler lost consciousness. His family, stunned and panicked, rushed him to the hospital. Govinda is now out of danger and remains under observation.

"Govinda's mother was nearby collecting firewood when the snake appeared. "The snake came out, and the child hit it with something and then bit and killed it. It was a gehuaan (cobra). The child is just one year old," Mateshwari Devi, the child's grandmother, was quoted as saying by India Today.

A similar incident was reported from Gaya, Bihar, last year, where a small child killed a snake by biting it. The child was rushed to hospital and was found to be completely fine, despite having bitten the snake.
