Samsung has launched a new addition to its Galaxy S smartphone series, and it’s already on sale at a rival retailer. Last week, the tech giant unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE, but shoppers can now claim a £50 discount on the smartphone at Amazon.
The price cut is automatically applied during checkout and reduces the device from £649 to £599. This beats Samsung’s own £649 price tag for the same model.
Amazon customers can also claim a bonus deal with a free Samsung Galaxy Watch7 worth £239 and a 60-day free trial of Audible. The Galaxy S25 FE is touted as being the ‘most attainable addition’ to Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup’, coming in £200 cheaper than the standard S25 with Amazon’s deal.

But despite its lower price, the S25 FE boasts a 6.7” dynamic AMOLED 2X display, 12MP ultra-wide camera and 50MP wide camera, plus countless Galaxy AI functions including Generative Edit, Circle to Search and Google’s AI-powered Gemini Live. It also features 128GB of storage, a long-lasting 4,900 mAh battery and an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
The slim and lightweight handset is designed with an enhanced Armor Aluminum frame and comes in a choice of four colours: Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy and White. The one catch with the Amazon deal is that the phone will launch on Friday, September 12, despite Samsung offering it immediately.
The Galaxy S25 FE is also stocked at many major networks including Sky Mobile, which is offering a £368 bundle for free comprising a free Galaxy Watch7 and a pair of Galaxy Buds3 FE. All of this is up for grabs with the Sky’s £23 monthly plan, which comes with the 256GB model as standard.
The Samsung launch comes just before the rumoured iPhone 17 unveiling, which is expected to be revealed at Apple’s showcase event on Tuesday (September 9). While Apple has not officially confirmed it will launch a new iPhone at the event, its previous models have been dropping in price in anticipation, with the likes of Amazon and Sky Mobile offering the iPhone 16e for £544 or £18 per month.
But for those preferring to stick with Android, the Daily Express Tech Editor Dave Snelling tried the Galaxy S25 FE ahead of its launch. He said: “The new S25 FE is another decent device from Samsung.
"It feels super premium in the hand and has a pixel-packed 6.7-inch display. “There are all the AI smarts found on the standard S25, including full Google Gemini access, plus other features such as fast charging and a toughened design."
"No, it doesn’t get the impressive Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the cameras can’t match the Ultra and there are less colour choices but if those things don’t worry you then the FE is one to watch out for.
“The only issues from my short time with this phone could be that it only comes in one large screen size, and it is still pretty expensive. Samsung has got some promotional offers, but I can’t help thinking a £599 price tag would seem more appealing.”
Amazon customers can now pick up the phone with this £599 price tag with Amazon’s deal here.
