Lorraine Kelly has let slip a mischievous detail about her own Buckingham Palace experience as she weighed in on the latest regal controversy.
The disclosure arose during a chat about Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo's recent online sensation – a video in which the pair are seen dancing within the opulent halls of the Queen's residence.
This clip has caused a stir, with speculations that the dance was a sly dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "Baby Mama" dance footage shared when the Duchess was expecting.

Given the strict no-filming rules at the palace, the Made in Chelsea alums' antics have raised more than a few eyebrows, leading to less-than-flattering judgments from the public.

While discussing the faux pas during her ITV show on Thursday, Lorraine branded Jamie and Sophie "a bit naughty" but couldn't resist revealing her own lapse in Royal protocol during her visit to the famed palace, reports the Express.
Joining the conversation, broadcaster Paul Brand remarked: "I mean, they were breaking protocol. I personally feel that as a very aggrieved news broadcaster, if I did that, I'd definitely be off to the tower.
"They've got really strict rules about filing in Buckingham Palace and then if you're an influencer, you can get away with it! You can get away with anything. I hear that you got away with it, Lorraine?"

Lorraine confessed, lightly: "Well, I may or may not have taken a sneaky photograph. I'll tell you for why, that painting reminded me so much of Joe Lycett! I had to take a picture because that's Joe Lycett! He's had another life."
The cheeky snap that Kelly captured was shared with ITV viewers, showing her mimicking the pose of a figure in a palace painting with a thoughtful finger to her chin.
The host confessed: "I know I'm not supposed to do that, I'll get into trouble, I shan't ever do it again."
Intrigued, a guest queried whether she had faced any repercussions for her actions, to which Lorraine responded: " No, I don't know that they knew... well they do now, so I'm in trouble!"
It appears this wasn't the only time Lorraine has bent the Royal rules, as she once posted a picture with TV editor Victoria Kennedy in the grand hallway on Instagram.
Lorraine is on ITV1 weekdays at 9am and on ITVX
