Manchester United's summer business is being aided by the millions they are receiving from sell-on fees they previously included in deals with Alvaro Carreras - who never played a game for the club - due to bank them more than £7m.
The Red Devils are looking to bolster their ranks over the coming weeks as Ruben Amorim desperately looks to improve his underperforming squad. Matheus Cunha is so far the only man to head to Manchester, joining from Wolves for £62.5m.
Now Bryan Mbeumo is on their radar, which will cost them upwards of £60m, but some player movement elsewhere is helping to line their pockets. Newcastle have just signed Antony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, which has cost the Magpies £55m.
As per the clauses inserted in the deal that took Elanga from Manchester to Nottingham, United will land 15 percent of profit on any deal. Given he moved for £55m, United are said to have picked up around £6m of the fee, reports The Telegraph.
Former United left back Carreras is set to land them even more cash as he is on the verge of leaving Benfica to join Real Madrid for around £43m after an impressive year in Lisbon.

The 22-year-old spent four years at United having initially joined their youth set-up from Madrid. Throughout his time in England though he failed to make a first-team appearance for the club having enjoyed time on loan at Preston, Granada and Benfica, who eventually signed him permanently.
He moved to Portugal 12 months ago for around £7m, which means Benfica will pocket around £36m of profit. 20 percent of that - £7.2m - will go to United and further bolster their summer budget.
Amorim could also see more cash arrive via player sales with a number of individuals facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho all spent time out on loan last term and don't appear to be part of the plans in Manchester, leaving them to find new suitors.
Alejandro Garnacho is another man who's slipped down the pecking order and has the likes of Napoli keen on him with the Argentine potentially commanding a huge fee. United are understood to want reinforcements in the final third, in midfield and at wing back.
