Festival season is officially upon us and with Glastonbury set to kick off this week, now is your last chance to make sure you’ve got everything you need. One absolute staple is food and drink, especially with how costly it is to buy both whilst actually at the festival.
However with temperatures continuing to rise a cool box is the only way to make sure your food and drink stays fresh and cold during your entire festival experience. Whilst most coolers last a few hours or maybe a day, the Ninja FrostVault Hard Cooler promises to keep your things chilled for up to five days – just the right amount of time to get you through your festival.

Although it’s usually priced at £199.99, it’s currently on sale on the Ninja website, slashing it to £129.99, saving you £70 on the 28 litre box, whilst the larger 47 litre box is slashed from £249.99 to £229.99. Both the grey and white colour options are on sale too, so you can pick one that matches your festival aesthetic.

The 28 litre box comfortably fits up to 48 cans (with no ice) or 26 cans with ice inside the main compartment, and has an additional integrated dry storage drawer at the bottom to keep things cool and dry without having to dig through ice. The FrostVault cooler keeps everything at a food safe 4.5 degrees, and retains the ice for up to five days.
The Ninja FrostVault Hard Cooler is even so sturdily built that you can use it as an additional seat whilst you’re sitting around your campsite. It’s not just festivals and camping it's great for, though; you can take it on picnics or days at the beach, use it as an outdoor fridge whilst hosting in the garden or even take it on road trips to make sure you’ve always got a cold drink and fresh food.
The main drawback is that it can be heavy to carry once it's filled up. Ninja does also do a wheeled version of the FrostVault for £249.99 for a 28 litre box – although the larger 42 litre box is currently on sale for £199.99, down from £279.99.
You could also pick up the YETI Roadie 32 Wheeled Cool Box for £350, which has free next day delivery on Amazon for Prime members. You can also get the smaller YETI Roadie 15 Cool Box in eight colours for £172.
However Ninja shoppers have been singing the praises of the Ninja FrostVault Hard Cooler. One wrote: “Brilliant cool box, went camping with it for the weekend and it was still chilled after 3 sunny days!”
Another agreed: “Nothing to say but awesome piece of kit..never seen anything quite like this..oh so versatile..practical..take anywhere including hotel rooms that don't have a fridge or cooler.”
One did find complaint with the weight, writing: “I’m a little confused why this vault costs £200, it’s so big and so heavy and awkward and that’s before you put 7 L of ice in and then try and get a few cans in It’s just essentially a big plastic box If I could send it back I would Sorry Ninja.”
However others loved it, saying: “Keeps stuff cold really well, as long as you fill it with enough ice/cooler packs. One handed open, cooler drawer and drain hole are the killer features which make it excellent. The divider/chopping board is also a smart idea, although it stops my large ice packs fitting in horizontally, so I haven’t been using it much. I’m becoming a bit of a ninja fanboy at the minute, everything I get from them I love, always smart design and good quality.”
