Radio 1 DJ Greg Jameshas revealed he was so surprised he "half missed it" when Taylor Swift invited him to her wedding.

Taylor - who released new album The Life of a Showgirl overnight - is set to wed fiance Travis Kelce after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end popped the question earlier this year. It came up as she chatted with Greg on the Radio 1 Breakfast show this morning (October 3), with Taylor revealing the DJ is on the guest list for her big day.

The star was talking about how Travis is 6ft 6" and joked that her "guy friends are like, 'I want Travis to pick me up and throw me over a roof or throw me in the pool'."

Greg agreed it sounded fun, joking: "I'd like him to maybe just do a wrestling move on me into a pool or something."

Taylor then replied: "The way that he's going to do that as soon as he sees you at our wedding. That's gonna happen."

"Woah, woah, woah - am I coming?" asked the stunned star.

The singer then replied: "Obviously."

When Greg quizzed her about the venue, she replied: "I'm going to let you know at a different time."

"It's a yes please and thank you!" Greg exclaimed.

The radio star was later asked about the big moment during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine, with host Christine Lampard asking excitedly: "That's an invite, that's official?"

"That was an invitation, yeah," smiled Greg. "I mean, I've said yes."

"I'll wait for the actual invitation," he added.

Christine noted: "Well, she sort of just spoke as if you already knew, you know, it was all very casual, wasn't it?"

"I thought, because I sort of half missed it in the chat and went, oh, hang on a second, did you just say... " said Greg. "She's so fun to interview," he added.

Taylor and Travis confirmed their engagement in August. The singer shared the news with fans by posting snaps on Instagram of the proposal, writing: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

Lorraine airs on ITV on weekdays at 9am.
