A woman has been declared dead after she plummeted from a building in Manchester city centre.
Emergency services raced to Great Ancoats Street at around 7am this morning after a body was found in the street. Upon arrival, they saw the woman was lifeless.
An investigation has since been launched following the incident. Greater Manchester Policesaid it appears that she had fallen from a building. A cordon has been put in place around the Leonardo Hotel and Victoria House apartments.

An incident commander van is on the scene, as well as ambulances and police cars, reports Manchester Evening News.
Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called to Great Ancoats Street this morning at about 7am to reports the body of a woman had been found.
"It appears she has fallen from a building but officers are currently investigating to determine the circumstances."
