Another case highlighting the alleged criminal activities of Akhilesh Dubey and his gang has emerged from Kanpur. BJP leader and advocate Manoj Singh has accused Akhilesh Dubey and his associates of torturing him, threatening his life, and falsely implicating him in a criminal case related to a property dispute. Manoj Singh has requested Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar to take strong action.
Manoj purchased a plot in 2021 from Ramesh Kumar Bajaj, with ownership recorded in his wife’s name. However, Vipin Bajaj, Ramesh’s son, opposed this and filed cases against Vipin and his wife. Allegedly angered by the sale, Vipin and Akhilesh began threatening Manoj. Vipin’s accomplice, Tonu Yadav, warned that if the plot was not transferred to Vipin, Manoj would be jailed at Akhilesh's behest.
In 2023, a case of fraud and forgery was registered against Manoj by Vipin through Akhilesh Dubey in the Govind Nagar police station. Lack of evidence led to a final report (FR) in Manoj’s favor, but threats persisted. On April 22, 2025, Tonu Yadav threatened Manoj in court, claiming Akhilesh’s influence was so strong that Manoj would find it impossible to escape legal action. Later that day, Akhilesh himself threatened Manoj over the phone to coerce him into transferring the plot.
During a recent court appearance, Akhilesh Dubey reportedly threatened media personnel, warning that he was identifying them, prompting the police to take the incident seriously and request a report from intelligence agencies. Meanwhile, the case against Akhilesh and his gang is currently being investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
This case adds to a growing list of accusations against Akhilesh Dubey, involving extortion, land grabbing, false rape cases, and collusion with corrupt officials, exposing a pattern of intimidation and criminal enterprise in Kanpur.
