It won't be long before we're all immersed once again in a world of glitter and sequins, as Strictly Come Dancing makes its annual return. Already, the rumour mill is churning with a diverse array of stars linked to the new series, while bookies are weighing in on potential participants. Strictly has held the title of one of, if not the biggest show on British television for 21 years. Yes, it might make you feel a tad old, but it was all the way back in the summer of 2004 when a group of celebrities nervously entered the BBC ballroom for the first ever series of the programme. The inaugural Glitterball trophy was eventually claimed by newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky and her professional partner Brendan Cole.
Since their triumph, many have followed suit, with victorious celebrities over the years including Kara Tointon, Harry Judd, Abbey Clancy, the late TV presenter Caroline Flack, Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey. Last year's competition was won by comedian Chris McCausland, who made history as Strictly's first ever blind contestant. Now, with an autumn launch anticipated for the new series, speculation about potential participants is rife. Everyone from beloved TV personalities to Olympic legends have seen their names tossed into the hat. The BBC often confirms casting for the series in August, so there is a while before any official announcements are made. So is rumoured to take part in this year's series? Read on to find out more.
Strictly Come Dancing 2025 line-up rumours
Vicky Pattison
Vicky, who first rose to fame as an original cast member on Geordie Shore some 14 years ago, is rumoured to have signed up for Strictly 2025. An insider told The Sun: "Vicky loved watching Pete on the series and was in awe of the detail that goes into every performance. She has great energy and will no doubt be a hit with the viewers. Vicky's done plenty of reality shows but is ready to be out of her comfort zone on the dance floor."
Mo Farah
Athletics legend Sir Mo Farah is also said to be on the 'wanted' list of Strictly producers, thanks to his status as an Olympic icon and national treasure. A source suggested: "His personality would provide the perfect tonic to the toxicity that's overshadowed Strictly. Bosses would love to sign him up but the talks are at a very early stage."

Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink
From one sporting hero to another, former Premier League striker Jimmy, renowned for his time at Leeds and Chelsea, is reportedly set to dazzle on Strictly 2025. An insider "confirmed" his participation to The Sun, saying: "Jimmy has a huge fanbase from his years playing in the Premier League and is a very likeable character. Show producers are always keen to book a retired footballer as it gets footie fans tuning into the series and becoming unlikely fans of the show."
Harry Aikines-Aryeetey
The pace doesn't stop there, as former Team GB sprinter Harry is also rumoured to be lacing up his dancing shoes for this year's Strictly. Now famed for his role as Nitro in the BBC's hit revival of Gladiators, Harry's stint on the show's second series was marred by injury. However, after a successful turn in last year's Strictly Christmas special, where he charmed the audience, Harry is tipped to be offered a full-time spot on the dance competition.
Georgia Toffolo
Reality TV star Georgia Toffolo, known for her stint on Made in Chelsea, has already been crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm A Celebrity in 2017. Now, whispers suggest she might be taking a twirl at adding a Strictly trophy to her accolades.
A source revealed to The Sun: "Georgia is in talks to join - she would bring glamour, poise and fun to the show. She's been a huge hit on all the telly shows she's done and would be a popular contestant on Strictly."
Stefan Dennis
Following its unexpected revival by Amazon after ending on Channel 5, the beloved Aussie soap Neighbours has now reportedly filmed its final episode. This opens the door for one of its most iconic stars to join another programme.
Stefan, who has portrayed Paul Robinson since the 1980s, is linked to Strictly, with a source stating: "Stefan is a huge character on the soap and is sure to be a hit with Strictly fans. BBC bosses are confident Stefan will bring in the ratings."
Tom Parker Bowles
Among this year's more intriguing rumoured additions to the line-up is Tom Parker Bowles, although it's not entirely unexpected given that his mother, Queen Camilla, is known to be a big fan of Strictly.
Regarding the possibility of Camilla watching her son, chef Tom, 50, compete, a source suggested: "It would be a coup to sign someone with such a strong royal link. Maybe we could see Camilla and Charles in the audience?
Balvinder Sopal
One half of one of soapland's most beloved couples, Suki and Eve, Balvinder's stellar performances as Suki on EastEnders have garnered widespread acclaim and attracted legions of admirers. EastEnders enthusiasts are now crossing their fingers that rumours of her Strictly signing prove accurate.
Albert Square stars have traditionally performed exceptionally well on Strictly and, already convinced that Balvinder's participation is a "done deal," an insider revealed: "EastEnders has been a happy hunting ground for Strictly bosses since the show first aired and they believe Balvinder will be a huge hit with fans She's excited by the prospect, too, as she feels viewers will see a different side to her."

Helen Flanagan
Helen Flanagan is an actress and model who is best known for starring on Coronation Street as Rosie Webster for 12 years.
The actress previously opened up about wanting to take part in the dancing series. During an appearance on the Elle Sera podcast, Helen was asked if she would do reality TV again, to which she replied: "I don't think so. I mean I'd absolutely love to do Strictly at some point. Yeah, I mean I'd be a rubbish dancer, don't get me wrong."
She explained she had been asked to do Strictly or I'm a Celebrity back in 2012 and opted for the jungle, but would "love to do" Strictly.
