One of the stars of Coronation Street had to rush their 10-month-old child to A&E after the tot developed an ear and eye infection. Lucy Fallon, 29, who plays Bethany Platt on the long running ITV soap welcomed her second child Nancy with footballer partner Ryan Ledson, 28, in January this year. The couple already had a boy named Sonny. Taking to her Instagram stories on Monday October 27 the star said she had rushed the child to A&E as she was "really sick" following a string of infections.
She explained how Nancy had developed both an ear and eye infection, and gave her followers a glimpse of the child's swollen face. The soap star also revealed the poorly youngster had also been suffering with a stomach bug alongside the infections which, led to even more cause for concern for Lucy, who posted a video where she held her daughter Nancy.
Looking earnest in the clip, the award-winning actress said: "I didn't want to come on and be really attention seeking but here I am.
"We have had a weekend. It has been filled with sickness, and A&E visits and everything. I don't know who I am anymore. Poor Nancy is literally so sick.
"Look at her eye, I just cannot. I cannot even cope, she's been vomiting, she has a throat infection, an ear infection and an eye infection.
"She has two top teeth coming through and a sickness bug. But yeah, that's just a reality check. Life comes at you really fast," she said.
Lucy has only recently returned to the cobbles following her maternity leave. She had a dramatic comeback when she was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car.
Although she has been working as a journalist until now Bethany is currently employed as a nail technican in her grandmother's salon.
She is currently involved in a storyline about young Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) who has been suffering from self esteem issues following online trolling.
Bethany has tried to use her own experiences to help the teenager work through her issues.
