Meghan Markle is scheming an "Establishment plot" alongside Prince Harry to thaw their relationship with the Royal Family and the British public, reports have claimed. The Duchess of Sussex saw her relationship with the royal, as well as the British public, turn sour after she quit as a senior working royal in 2020 and moved to the US, where she has now settled with her family.
Meghan's popularity also took a nosedive since 2020 following the string of claims against the Firm. But news reports now claim the Duchess is part of a plan, which is allegedly backed by "senior politicians and courtiers" to "warm up" the Sussexes' frosty relationship with the royals and the Brits. Meghan's recent trip to France last weekend, her first in Europe in three years, was reportedly part of what has been dubbed "Project Thaw" by insiders.

The Daily Mail's Diary Editor Richard Eden wrote: "What could be better than pictures of her [Meghan Markle] being greeted with kisses by the European fashion pack as well as Vogue supremo Dame Anna Wintour?"
Meghan spent Saturday night mingling with the creme de la creme of the fashion world as she attended her friend Pierpaolo Piccioli's fashion show. Mr Piccioli recently became Balenciaga's creative director.
A friend of the Sussex couple told the outlet: "This trip is all part of the 'thaw' process."
According to the source, the next "planned move" of the "Establishment plot" is a joint appearance of Harry and Meghan in Britain, in what would be their first joint outing in the Duke's home country since 2022.
Meghan last visited the UK in September 2022, when she attended the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth.
The Sussex source said: "Meghan will return to Britain before the year is out," adding that she will be "bearing humble pie".
Mr Eden said: "It remains to be seen whether 'bearing humble pie' - and eating it, presumably - is sufficient to placate the Royal Family or the British people."
