Too Much has dropped on Netflix and fans cannot agree whether or not they love or hate the newly released romcom.
Starring Hacks actress and comedian Megan Stalter, Too Much revolves around New Yorker Jessica who moves to London for work after the devastating break-up of her long-term boyfriend.
It doesn't take too long though before Jessica meets mysterious musician Felix (Will Sharpe) who she has instant chemistry with but their romance isn't exactly smooth sailing thanks to friends, family and self-sabotage.
On top of the turbulent plot, Too Much has a star-studded cast with an abundance of familiar faces cropping up from Stephen Fry and Fleabag's Andrew Scott, to Rita Ora, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Saunders.
All 10 episodes of the Lena Dunham romcom were dropped today, Thursday, July 10, on Netflix, and already it has prompted a mixed reaction.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan stated that there was "too much" shouting in the series as another brutally said: "Nope. Too Much by Lena Dunham is c***."
"I had high hopes for #TooMuch, with its great cast. But the characters and dialogue are just awful", a third commented. "I want to slap them. Struggling to get halfway through the first episode."
While another added: "Too Much was insufferable. Lena Dunham took everything that's obnoxious about Girls & put them in London. An endless drivel about an unhealthy relationship. Whiny & petulant."
They continued: "The interesting parts never came because the annoying parts were excessive."
On the other hand, there were others who were impressed by the Netflix series with one sharing that they were "already loving it" after just one episode.
Another commented: "I love when celebrated scene stealers get a chance to headline so #TooMuch with Megan Stalter (Hacks) & Will Sharpe (The White Lotus S2) is already off to a good start with me."
Meanwhile, a fellow user posted: "I flew through all 10 episodes of #TooMuch. The narrative is indeed too much at times, stuffing so much in, but Megan Stalter is phenomenal and I fell in love with Will Sharpe all over again.
"No matter how annoying some side characters got, I loved the relationship at its heart."
Too Much's official Rotten Tomatoes rating is also now in with the series earning a respectable 80%, despite the mixed bag of opinions.
Too Much is available to watch on Netflix.
