A "very adictive" mystery thriller is hailed as "amazing" by fans, with one begging, "I need more!" The Longest Night is a Spanish-language series centred around an attempt by an armed group to abduct fictional serial killer Simón Lago's from secure facility where he is being held for one night on Christmas Eve.
The gunmen have been sent by high ranking officials to prevent him from revealing dark secrets in court, and battle ensues with the authorities, desperate to ensure the killer faces justice. The series, released in 2022 and directed by Óscar Pedraza and Moisés Ramos has had one season so far, consisting of six episodes.
It's not been confirmed whether another series will follow, but some fans are desperate for the show to return.

One Audience Reviewer on Rotten Tomatoes wrote: "Oh my goodness, The Longest Night is so good. The actors and actresses are great and so is the plot! I want to see how this end, so many unanswered questions! I need more!"
Another described it as: "Very addicting and entertaining", adding that that binged it "in one night".
"I see some didn't like that it didn't conclude, but they just cut the season into 2 parts so the next part should be coming soon...definitely looking forward to it," they added.
However, other some felt frustrated with its conclusion, calling it "frustrating" with one fan saying it "leaves you hanging and for me, not actually understanding what happened".
Another said it was an "okay watch" but they had rarely "seen anything this logically flawed and unrealistic, there are so many logical errors and plot holes in this it's crazy".
But other users defended it, acknowleging that while the series may be "unrealistic", but "is very entertaining".
"Spanish series have showed already a great level," they continued. "The plot has a lot of action, deaths (too many) and short stories."
One viewer wrote on IMDb that they "see a lot of reviews saying the Longest Night is 'unrealistic'", but argued, "so is Game of Thrones, so is Hannah, so is every single James Bond movie ever madeor Jon Wick. It doesn't stop them being great television".
"Yes, its far fetched and obviously has no basis in truth. But its got good pacing, it explores selected characters to a decent degree, and overall its a fun watch," they added.
The drama has a 15 rating, and features strong language, violence, and references to sexual violence, injury detail, and threat, so may not be for everyone.
The Longest Night is streaming now on Netflix.
