shared a series of tips on how passengers can avoid dirty looks or even being kicked out of some areas of the vessel for easy mistakes. The outlet warned travellers, "don't be fooled by a cruise ship's 'everything's fun' and 'we're all on vacation here' vibe, as not adhering to the dress code could see you getting the "side eye or asked to leave the venue - or maybe both".
There can be some specific rules for what you can wear in different parts of the vessel, and according to the outlet, one in particular tends to be firmly enforced.
The website says "the biggest one that is actually spoken loud and clear from the ship's crew and blasted across all ship-wide communications", namely that swimwear is "only allowed on the pool deck".
But unwritten rules, which may see you getting an eye-roll, include never wearing your pyjamas outside the cabin, or going to the buffet barefoot or shirtless.
