A chilling two-part special of 24 Hours in Police Custody delves into the case of a vile rapist terrorising young women, with the gripping title Nightclub Predator.
The Channel 4 documentary grants unprecedented access to the Cambridgeshire Police Rape Investigation Team and their relentless pursuit to bring criminal Craig France to justice for his heinous acts.
Investigative lead Det Ch Insp Helen Tebbit shared her insights, saying: "This programme will show that sexual predators can cleverly disguise their depraved behaviours - victims may not realise they are being groomed."
In August last year, a brave woman reported she had been raped, triggering a police probe into Craig France, aged 34.
Police probe at France's Peterborough residence unearthed covert cameras capturing over 6,000 sinister images and videos, reports Cambridgeshire Live.
Shocking discoveries revealed France recorded despicable abuse against unconscious or asleep victims; three additional women learnt they too were covertly filmed without consent.
Given the extensive video evidence and the appalling nature of his crimes, authorities suspect there could be additional victims of France still unaccounted for.
Detectives hypothesise there might be a series of women who have fallen prey to voyeurism, film recorded post-intoxication from excessive alcohol supplied by France, followed by his sexual assaults on camera.
As evidence mounted against France following his arrest, he submitted a bail application, putting the investigating team under pressure for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to finalise charges of rape and voyeurism.
With the prospect of his release from custody looming, the team was compelled to approach the women featured in France's videos, delivering the distressing news that they might be unwitting victims of this serial offender.
Craig France's case ultimately culminated in a prison sentence of 10 years and 7 months, handed down in March 2025, after he pleaded guilty to an array of sexual offences.
These included the rape and voyeurism of four victims between 2021 and 2023, whom he had targeted after nights out in Peterborough, taking advantage of their intoxicated state to commit these crimes in the supposed safety of his own home.
France, a lorry driver, also confessed to additional crimes, including sexual assault, public exposure, and further instances of voyeurism, all committed between 2021 and 2023.
During the sentencing, Judge Bishop noted that France had admitted to one count of rape, which had inflicted "severe psychological harm" on the victim, and highlighted that France posed a "significant risk" to others.
Speaking on the case, Det Ch Insp Tebbit observed: "France portrayed himself as everyone's best friend - caring, fun, and provided what his victims thought was a safe place to party.
"But in reality, he preyed on young women who had barely entered adulthood for his own sexual gratification."
Police have urged any potential victims to step forward.
Cambridgeshire Police have issued an appeal, encouraging anyone who suspects they've been the victim of a sexual offence to reach out via 101 or internet chat on their website.

DCI Tebbit highlighted the possibility of unidentified victims given the extensive footage and nature of France's crimes.
"I would encourage anyone who thinks they might've been a victim of a sexual offence to contact us on 101 or via web chat on the force website," she implored.
"We take all reports of sexual offences very seriously. We have a dedicated team of specially trained officers ready to investigate allegations promptly, fully and professionally, and a network of partnership agencies and support services to offer assistance and support."
