DC issues showcause to all staff of Koderma school, withholds salaries

Koderma: DC Rituraj on Wednesday directed the district education dept to issue show-cause notices to all teachers, including the in-charge headmaster of PM Shri Upgraded Plus Two High School, Dumardiha. He also ordered to put their salaries on hold till their responses are received. The move came in the wake of several lapses which came to force during his inspection at the school earlier in the day. The inspection began with a first-hand check of the mid-day meal. The quality and menu compliance were found lacking, prompting stern instructions to the staff. The nutrition garden, meant to supplement students' diet and promote awareness about healthy food, was being neglected. A thorough review of essential records also revealed disorganised and outdated entries. tnn
